Vintage 1956 Omega Seamaster XVI
The Omega Seamaster XVI was released in 1956 to commemorate the 16th Olympiad, happening for the first time in the Southern hemisphere in Melbourne, Australia.
Omega went all out with this design. Featuring a dressy 18kt yellow gold case, gold number markers and hands. This watch features special event markers on both the dial and case back where the Olympic symbol is embossed.
Omega has long been the official timekeeper of the Olympics. There is no greater proof of their exceptional craftsmanship and accuracy.
