Amanda Coleman

Amanda B. Coleman was born and raised in Sparks Maryland where she attended Hereford High School.  She is in the 6th generation of the Nelson Coleman Jewelers family business and worked sporadically in the business while she attended classes at Essex community college of Baltimore County.  At age 23 she made the decision to work full time at Nelson Coleman Jewelers and to make it her career.  After working for one year in the business she attended the residence program at the Gemological Institute of America in Carlsbad California which she completed in September of 2005.  Since then Amanda has completed the Registered Jewelers program and received her Certified Gemologist Appraisers title with the American Gem Society in 2008.  She has been with Nelson Coleman Jewelers full time for four years and plans to continue her education and growth in the industry.
