There are some fine jewelry manufacturers reproducing popular antique styles of brooches, earrings, lavalieres, slides, and bracelets today. They are creating new antiques for future generations using similar styles of manufacturing as the originals. However, antique reproduction seems to be the strongest in the categories of engagement rings and wedding bands. This phenomenon is primarily due to the fact that although the estate and antique styles of engagement rings from 100 years ago including platinum and white gold filigree with detailed hand engraving are very popular today, most newly engaged couples prefer a new ring. Today, there are many variations of these antique styles including some beautiful architectural styles using filigree and hand engraving which will become tomorrows heirlooms.
