How did you meet?
We met working at Camp Blue Star in the summer of 2006. Though we had both been campers and staff there for the majority of our lives, we had not met before.
Do you have a funny story?
We were at camp for our summer pre-planning meeting (yes, we still go to camp - it's ok, we both have real jobs too). Dana's boss asked her to stay after the first day of meetings. Matt left Dana there and went back towards the cabin. After a few minutes of a made-up, meaningless, conversation, Dana was handed a jewelry box with the first clue in a scavenger hunt. Dana was led to a number of important places on camp before finding Matt in the chapel with the ring. Dana almost went straight to the chapel, instead of following the clues, knowing that Matt would be there. Fortunately, she played along and Matt got to sit and wait and hope she would make it. She did! And she said yes!
Why are you in love?
Though it took Matt a little while to figure out what to do about it, we both agree that there has always been a special chemistry between us.
